Inpaint 4.7

Inpaint will magically remove elements from your photos!

Inpaint photo restoration software reconstructs the selected image area from the pixels near the area boundary. Remove undesirable objects from your images, such as logos, watermarks, power lines, people, text or any other undesired artefacts. There's no need to manually go through messing around with your old clone tool any more! Now you can use Inpaint to easily remove all those unexpected objects that end up spoiling an otherwise really great photograph.

allow inpaint to choose from which regions to take the pixels from (as an advanced option) (eg I have a photo where a watermark is over my body, I don't want to take pixels from the surrounding nature)

See both the marker and LASSO as options for choosing parts to remove. Otherwise, I LOVE this program.

Go back to the 'lasso' method of choosing the area to change (as in your earliest version), as opposed to the marker.

Work on the donor and recipient shape mechanics in the combination 2 donor input formulas; so that it has ways where we can indicate a 'linear' connection vs a 'texture-like' fill. If you could balace this duality, you would be the leader in fill-too

Include the ability to copy and paste within the picture or from the clipboard. Often it blends better if I open the jpg in paint and overlay the undesired item before using Inpaint.

Currently you have to set the "tolerance" for the magic wand, before using it to select an area. However, this means you may have to repeatedly re-set the tolerance and re-select the area before it is the correct amount. It would therefore be...

An optional square marker tip that can be rotated would be useful to help follow straight lines at various angles. A round marker tip is useful many times, however, pixels are square and images are full of triangular situations and lines that require

Add keyboard controls for changing the size of the red paint brush

Currently, one has to click the toolbar icon and then the slider arrows or enter the value manually. Something like keeping Ctrl+up/down arrow pressed could help visually modify the red paint brush size

Include the ability to run the software as a Photoshop (or compatible) plug-in. It would also be nice to see pressure sensitivity for brush implemented as it would make painting the mask easier.

Have a zoom tool that will zoom at once to a specific area by holding down the mouse button and specifying a desired rectangular area. Great time saver instead of doing repetitive zoom clicks and then finding the exact location.
